Efflorescence in short is when some stone materials both natural and man made, looses water (Hydration) from the chrystalized salts causes a white chalky substance on the surface due to the air exposure. The PGI process eliminates this surface reaction.

SLIP RESISTANCE
Polished stone has a higher friction co-efficient than regular untreated concrete surfaces. This makes it more difficult to slip on the surface, wet or dry. PGI's polished substrates always meet OSHA standards.
